We're building Australia's stevia industry from the ground up: growing, processing and supplying a natural, zero-calorie sweetener to food and beverage makers here and across Asia-Pacific.

The sweetness ratio

Stevia to sugar sweetness ratio: 1300

One part stevia can sweeten like up to three hundred parts sugar, with zero calories.

  • A.

    0 calories

Steviol glycosides sweeten without adding energy.

  • B.

    50%+ less sugar

Sugar reduction is possible even in challenging applications.

  • C.

    Less land & water

Intense sweetness means far smaller crops than sugar cane.

Mother nature's zero-calorie sweetener.

Stevia is a naturally sweet member of the daisy family, native to South America. Its leaves hold steviol glycosides, sweet compounds that are heat-stable, plant-based and free of calories.

People are cutting back on added sugar and choosing ingredients they recognise. Stevia meets both needs.

With our technical partner CQUniversity, whose research helped bring stevia into Australian food in 2008, we're developing a stevia crop industry and extraction capability for Australian and overseas markets.

  1. Stage 01

    Research

Crop trials and extraction research with our technical partner, CQUniversity.

  2. Stage 02

    Cultivation

Trials that show how stevia performs in Australian conditions, and how to lift yields.

  3. Stage 03

    Processing

A local extraction and refining facility, now in development, so Australian leaf becomes Australian sweetener.

  4. Stage 04

    Distribution

Finished stevia for manufacturers in Australia and across Asia-Pacific.
